I shall stop blogging about hero strategies. I think too much of that will bore users.

I will thus focus on competitive DotA. Competitive games and normal games have very huge difference. In a normal game, people normally play on their own and just try to obtain individual brilliance. However, it is different in competitive games. 5 to a team and these 5 have different roles from each other. Teamwork and teamplay is very important. Sometimes, individual skills is not really the factor to win games but without a doubt, it plays a part in winning. There are several roles in a competitive game - A power hero, supporting roles and heros that do lane control. These are the 3 main roles in a game.

Just by looking at the role name, a power hero is mainly a hero that has the most damage output. A fine example would be the Queen of Pain. It can really farm up really fast as it has Scream of Pain. Deals 300 damage to nearby units which makes farming much easier. It's ultimate is Sonic Wave which deals quite amount of damage in a huge area. Finally, it has the ability to blink out of danger, which reduces it possibility of dying.

Supporting roles are heros that support the power hero. A fine example will be the Warlock. This hero is one of the strongest hero in the early game. It has a very useful skill to support the power hero which is Shadow Word. It can be casted on allies as well as enemies. It will either heals of damages 40 hitpoints per second for 8 seconds. This is very useful if the power hero is low in hp, this skill can be use to heal the power hero. This increases the survivability of the power hero.

Lastly, the heros that are good in lane control. This type of heros have a similarity - huge spell damage. They can instantly deal easily up to 500+ damage within a few seconds at level 7. An example will be Slayer. It has 2 skills - Dragon Slave and Light Strike. When both are in level 4, it will deal 280 damage each. IF, it has around 300 mana left, a lighting will be send flying to the enemy. 450 damage of laguna blade will be casted. It will definitely crush enemies at the start.
